The sound of the Admiral's shoes against the marble floors of the Government buildings in courscant could be heard as he walked. They were finished with the Valley of the Jedi, for now (See Complete SW Universe), and it stayed under complete and utter control. Nothing left, nothing came in.

The Reborn Jedi from the Valley were scattered to various ships of the Admiral's massive fleet, awaiting deployment.

With him, he had brought 5 Reborns, who, to any bystander, would look like the regular scum you might see walking the streets of the lower levels of Coruscant. They would be key in what was to come.

The Admiral had made arrangements to sit in on this day's session of the Senate. Because he was seen as the leader of the Empire, that day many Senators had planned to verbally attack him, the idea of the Empire, and it's policies. He knew that would happen, and knew that would be the start of the first phase.

But first, he had more arrangements to make with fleets. On Ambria, a total of 9 super sized fleets had been created, and secretley deployed around the galaxy, waiting. One above Yavin IV, the majority of troops on board being Reborns, some stormtroopers and Officers. Other similar fleets were awaiting near other important planets. The largest fleet, Actar's, was waiting, cloaked, above Coruscant.

Before leaving for the Senate Chambers, Actar sent word to the 5 Reborn he had brought along with him. "Start," was all he said to them, and they knew exactly what that meant.

In the Senate, the Admiral sat, taking everything they threw at him with calm and ease. He felt it. The Reborn had done their task, the shields were down, now it was his turn. He stood calmly and walked to the podeom of the Empire's "box" (what are those called?). He said, "Ladies, Gentlemen, Beings of the Senate, please here me out-" Out of no where, his eyes turned blood red, his face gained an expression that would make a 2 year old piss blood, his hand raised in the air and every door leading out of the Chambers slammed shut, and lightning zapped out of his palm, and all five fingers leading to every box in the Senate. His head fell down, he was losing strength fast. He fell back, landing in his seat. His eyes returned to their normal coloring, and he looked around. Every Senator from every planet in the New Republic was dead. Even the Empire's own Senators were dead, but sacrifices had to be made. He stood, now at full strength, turned and left the chambers, pulling out his comlink and said into it, "Begin Phase 1, Admiral."

Admiral Swatzi, who was on the other line of the comlink, did as he was told. Every Imperial fleet in the Galaxy was uncloaked. The Invasion of Yavin IV began immediately, first landing the the Stormtroopers and other Conventional fighting machines, then the Reborn, who would take control of the Jedi Praxeum.

On Coruscant, the New Repuplic fighters, however, were taken completley by surprise when Imperial fighters arrived, blasting them to oblivian. Imperial Troopers were landing everywhere, and so were the Reborns. Tie's and the like were destroying the defenses on the surface. A Blockade was immediately set up around Coruscant, and Yavin. The Admiral himself had met up with a group of 100 Reborn and were headed for the Jedi Council.

Phase 1 had begun.

Phase 2.

With Coruscant, Yavin IV, Corellia, Bespin and the likes being overrun by Imperial troops, what was left were the smaller, less useful, but just as important planets. These planets, if left alone, would now be haven for the rebellious citizens of the New Empire. While Imperial troops still fought New Republic troops on some planets, phase two was put into action.

Smaller less inhabited planets were taken in less than 3 days. All in all, the entire plan was to minimize civillian casualties as much as possible, to try and prevent a powerfull rebellion like that which destroyed the First Empire.

On Coruscant, now joined by Admiral Swatzi, Admiral Actar listened to a message sent by the Captain leading the invasion of Yavin.

"Admiral, the troops landed with minimal damage done to landing crafts and troops. didn't take long to surround the Jedi Praxeum, but entering is much more difficult. The rest of the Planet has been secured. I request more Reborn troops, they fight well, I've seen it myself, but they aren't as quick as the Jedi. More Reborn will wear the Jedi down. Thank you Admiral."

"Another week at most," Actar said to Admiral Swatzi, who nodded in agreement. They walked out to a balcony overlooking Coruscant, and the sunset. "An Empire without and Emporer," Admiral Swatzi said, staring into the disappearing sun. Actar glanced at him, and then back to the sunset...

A dark shadow uncoiled from an even darker little corner in the frame of the doorway behind where Admiral Actar and his second in command stood chatting so nonchalantly. Before either of the two men could even turn in their sudden awareness, the gibbering and drooling demon dropped lightly to his feet, his long and pointed tail lashing out simultaneously and viciously to slash Swatzi into momentary unconsciousness. In the nanosecond it took Actar to note the fall of his companion and react in any manner, Maladius had leapt upon his back, his tail now wrapping about him as his claws sunk deeply into through his uniform and into the flesh of his shoulders. The demon's hot breath panted into his ear, drooling in delight while the Admiral reached out in the attempt to loosen him with a force blow and then yank him from his back. He might just have well tried to pull a space slug from it's lair, let alone grasp it; Maladius only tightened his grip, his claws sinking deeper as Actar now whirled about, then went for his lightsaber.

Even as the Admiral drew the weapon, a gibbering hiss came hotly into his ear. An entire line of thought simultaneous shot into his brain. "How content you are at this moment, dear, dear Admiral!" The breath of the demon stank like the fetid air of a charnelhouse. "Yet you are but a big opee in a small pond. Soon the current will spew you forth into the much larger sea; there you will find He whom you will call Master... and She before whom you will bow.

"She's waiting for you and laughing, you know...."

In a lightning fast and quite unexpected move, the demon now sunk his stinking fangs into the flesh of Actar's ear, and bit down hard, taking yet another flash of a second to chew a little. He gibbered and cackled in pleasure at the pain and anger he had caused. All occurred before even the amazing abilities of the uberjedi were able to be put into play.

Another mere portion of a second later, and Maladius had altered his essence into that of an incorporal shade once again. Opening a doorway in the All, he stepped through and disappeared from sight, closing the door firmly behind him as he travelled back the way he had come: through the immensity of spacetime and back into the hidden void between galaxies in which he dwelled... and awaited the beck and call of his newly beloved Master.

Between his coming and going, perhaps three seconds had in reality passed....

Funan pulled the Lady Air Dance out of hyperspace letting the steatched stars regain their stationary twinkling beauty but his appreciation of normal space was cut short as the ship's viewing screen was filled with the terrifing sight of massive ships forming a blockade around the city planet of Coruscant, Funan scrambled for the intercom and quickly punched in for all the ship to hear.

"L-l-leeba get dwon here, meesa havin some bombbad new for usea!" He jabbered as he set the ship to come to an emergency stop to avoid smashing into the lead ship's shields.

Leeba shot through the door and leaned over Funan's chair as he tried to regain hyis breath, "w...what is it?" Funan simply pointed out of the view screan and swallowed hard as his hand trembled.

"Dis no look good!"

"damn right this doesn't look good, imperial?"

Funan nodded nervously, "should weesa give dem da cargo?"

"no go to the given co-ordinates, we should avoid conta-" Leeba was interupted as the com blured into life, name your purpose on Coruscant!" a gruff voice demanded sending a shiver down both their spines.

"w-we're delivering something to the surface, imperial buisne-" Leeba was interupted yet again, "on who's authority."

"Jenloo Barook's, he didn't say who he was working for."

"we will have to make sure, prepare to be boarded." the comlink was severed and Funan shot a worried look at Leeba who didn't look to confident either.

"meesa no liken da sound of dis."

He stood in Central Command on Coruscant, overseeing the goings on of Imperial Forces in the galaxy, particularly Coruscant. The scar around his ear could barely be seen, and he could hear just as well as before.

He was standing behind one of the operator's screening incoming ships.

"W-we're delivering something to the surface, imperial buisne-"

That caught his attention. "We will have to make sure, prepare to be boarded," The operator replied.

Very calmly, he put his hand on the man's shoulder, and whispered, "They're lying to you," he paused, "Get rid of them."

The man nodded and radioed to the nearest attack squadron, "Squadron 87, get rid of the YT-1300 in Sector B-79-6, immediately."

TIE Interceptors, now uncloaked, came screaming out of nowhere attacking the YT-1300....

The TIE Interceptor pilots had done their job well, the ship was gone.

Admiral Actar turned from the commlink in front of him and stood up facing Admiral Swatzi. "What was that all about?" Admiral Swatzi asked.

"Someone has something I want and can give it to me, if I give them protection," Actar replied.

"Protection? Protection from what?"

But before Actar could answer, they were interrupted by a young Caoptain standing behind the two men, "Admirals, 5 squadrons of Reborn troops are ready for deployment on Yavin. We just need one of you to give the go ahea-"

"Deploy them." Swatzi interrupted, a bit preturbed at the interuption of his own conversation with Actar. The captain turned and went to work, Swatzi turned back to Actar, changing the subject of their earlier conversation, "The Jedi on Yavin shouldn't last much longer now, these Reborn going in now spent a good deal more time in the Valley than the ones before, they should be able to handle to Jedi," he said smiling. "Now, there is the issue of captured New Republic troops, I wasn't sure what we ought to do with them."

Actar thought for a moment and replied, "Execute them. We've got to prevent any sort of rebellion, which means extinguishing any loyalty to the republic. It also might be a good idea to send out probes to planets in the outer-rim we have yet to acquire, make sure no one is reoganizing there."

"I'll get right to it Admiral." And Swatzi turned and gave the various orders out...

Meanwhile on a planet near the Coruscant system

Jonovar cursed. He still could not, for the life of him, figure out why he had accepted the crazy Jedi's fee. Sure the pay was more than he could dream of, and sure the guys story was moving and all but... but... the target was gonna be damned near impossible to get to. He shook his head and walked towards his ship a bit faster, becoming dimly aware of a presense following him. He looked at the reflection of the road behind him in the rear view mirror of a parked speeder. He cursed again, so the bartender realised he hadent payed his tab. The man following him was one of the thugs that worked at the bar, not someone he wanted to tangle with in public. So he, descretly as possible, slipped into a side ally. The thug was as dumb as excpected and followed him in. Rule #1 of collecting debts from hard up, stingy, armed men is that you dont follow them into deserted allys. The thug learned this the hard way as Jonovar quickly incapacitated the man with a shot to the knees. He felt a bit better now, but he still marvled at his stupidity. He was a man of his word though so that meant... Rathal prefered not to think about it. Instead he quickly made his way to the spaceport, hoped into The Deliverance and shot off towards Coruscant. He had heard rumors of tight security, but he had not heard any first hand accounts. The trip to the planet was a short one, he pulled out of hyperspace not to far away from the planet, but far enough not to be noticed. Jonovar stared, this was the first time he had been back to the planet that had held him captive for so long. He was shocked, the place was sorrounded by starships as it had always been, yet somthing was different. It took him only a second to spot it, they were all warships. A sudden impulse told him to halt his ship and cut his engines before he was within range. He had learned to trust his impulses. He was at an impasse, he should have known better than to just fly there. It was that reckless attitude that had got him caught years back, so Rathal sat back and waited for insperation.

Jonovar felt ancy, it was a feeling he always got while he was couped up in a small space trying to think, well he was thinking but the insperation he had been hoping for was not forthcoming. He shifted in his seat restlessly, the longer he sat the less likely he was to think of somthing and the more likely he was to be discovered. He could radio a distress signal but he would probably be destroyed. He could just move in but he had a hunch that such a course of action would not work either. Rathal had learned to trust such hunches as they were usually correct. But whatever he did he needed to comit, and comit now or else boredom might just drive him to quit. He closed his eyes and a miracle happend. Not far off tie interceptors where doing some ruteen (SP?) drills when one of the pilots carelesly slammed into the drill leader's TIE sending it pinwheeling out of control. Jonovar's eye shot wide open and he turned on his engines flying to the fighter's aide, he saw not a man in need, but a chance to get through the impenitrable blockade. He moved his Headhunter alongside the spinning TIE, allowing the ship to impact lightly with his own. After several such manuevers the pilot regained control of his ship, which was now badly damaged.

"Come abord The Deliverance, Ill take you to the surface." Jonovar offered over the com.

The TIE Pilot paused, "Thank you, sir."

Moments later Jonovar transfered the pilot, via airlock, to his ship and the two shot- well more accuratly crawled, toward's the surface of the planet.

"Your Headhunter clearly needs some repairs, as a token of my gratitude I offer you the service of the Coruscant's space port. However I must ask you to depart." Pipped up the TIE Pilot as they reached the hanger. The man said a few words to the technitions who set to work immediatly on Headhunter. The pilot returned a few moments later and handed Jonovar an Id card.

"This should allow you free passage on planet for as long as your ship is under repares." he said and shuffled off before Rathal could thank him. The bounty hunter smiled, the door was open, he just needed to walk through. Without so much as a glance backwards he walked towards the exit of the hangar.

Admiral Actar still in the Command Center sat quietly and watched as Officers gave orders to various fleets, troops, and ships around the galaxy, particularly watching events on Coruscant.

He watched as an incoming message from one of the many Ships above Coruscant's atmosphere radioed in an alert. "Conquerer to Central Command Center: TIE Pilot Rayke Ne'eska believed to have boarded a Z-95 Headhunter, and landed on surface. Ignoring training procedures. Consider dangerous."

Admiral Actar stood up, speaking directly to the operator who recieved the alert. "Arest the TIE pilot and the Headhunter's Pilot, find and comandeer the ship."

"Yes, Admiral." Was the reply from the Operator.

He loved giving direct orders...

Jonovar was not pleased with what he saw when he stepped out of the hangar door, that is to say about three soldiers with blaster rifles pointed at his chest.

"Let me see your ID." said a voice behind him, Jonovar turned to see three more soldiers headed his way, did this Admiral guy know everything. Jonovar confidently reached into his pocket and drew out the ID card, the squad leader snatched if from him and held it for a moment,

"This ID is in-" but Jonovar had already taken off down the street, a blast shot right by him, these guys wheren't kidding. Jonovar reached to his holster, drew the first of his two guns and slid it into a concealed area in his jacket, it was a place where he had hidden the death of many a would-be lawman. Jonovar pulled his other blaster, and dropped to one knee.

"At the risk of sounding cliche," he said, "Take me to your leader." with that he held out his not hidden pistol to the squad leader.

"Come with me," ordered the soldier and he was shoved along by the tips of blaster rifles.

The squad leader stepped forward and grabbed the pistol, tossing it back to another squad member, and quickly cuffed the man in front of him. Holding the mans arms in the air, he ordered him searched.

Blasters pointed at him the entire time, the men searched him, and found a pistol tucked away in his jacket.

The Squad leader just nodded his head, "You just made this worse for yourself kid. Take him to detention center H-16-37."

From elsewhere....

It's absolutely amazing how correct the pencil-pushers can be when they talk about time. I mean, when you're winning at sabaac, time just stands still. When you've got a lovely fem hanging on your every word, it flies away all too quickly.

And it drags like there's no tomorrow when you're waffling through space in an all but useless escape pod, nevermind the modifications....

I sighed and shifted, my armor creaking as I tried to get comfortable for the umpteenth time. I glanced at my chrono, frowned. This was going to take way too much time; my quarry would be Fates knew how far off by the time I got hold of my new benefactor and arranged to have my poor ship reprogrammed. Dammitall then, there was nothing for it but to break silence, and hope no one was bothering to listen.

I quickly keyed a succinct little message, piggybacking it on an obscure bandwidth of carrier wave. Then I squirted it off to Coruscant, where I'm certain it was met by only the ears for whom it was intended.

Target momentarily misplaced, but not untrackable. Ship needing brain surgery. Incoming to you, current coordinates as follows....

I sighed again and sat back, flipping my comm-ceiver to standby and waited to hear if I got any results. Sure hoped so, or it was gonna be a loooong day coming before I could get comfortable again....

They had taken everything, his jacket, his guns, his translator, even his goddamn belt. Rathal hung from a pipe, sweat glistening on his muscular body as he pulled himself up one more time. He had passed this week exersising, it calmed him, made him to tired to thing about his impending execution. No, they hadn't said they would kill him but he couldn't imagine any othe fate was instore for him. With a huff he dropped down to his feet, the worst part was that he wasnt even fighting it, he had given up- conceded, he had almost never given up before. He huddled in a corner, facing the window to the outside, it was the only way he could tell how much time passed. The lights were always on here. Thier energy bill must be monumetal. Did Governments even pay energy bills, mused Rathal, it was amazing the incredibly idiotic things he thought about this passed week. Anything to take his mind off the important stuff. Rathal sighed as a plate of gruel was slid through the slot in the door, splashing messily on the floor. They had forgotten to check on him. They didn't even know if he was still in the room, they didn't care. They knew he had been subverted.

Meanwhile....

Sid kneeled, rolling his fingers in a quivering, delicate manner along his face, brushing back his navy, crisp blue hair. Throwing over behind his ear, he adjusted his arm about, reaching out for his tools. Rustling his fingers along the greasey pile, he grabbed upon a techonlogical tool that would enable him to attach the missles to his Y-Wing. Helping in the background was the nice, head curved, black and white droid. Adjusting about the belly of the ship.

As the wrenching, and shrieking sounds continued, the sound of toosteps aboarded the train of vibrations. Beating along the cool, frigid surface, a aroma stunned through the room. A fresh smell of new clothes whittered, under the nostrils of Sid, catching his attetion. Modifying the position of his head, he reached his eyes, over with a quick thrust of his head. Throwing his hair back over his eye, he stared smoothly at the being who positioned himself at the steps of the stairs he had planted his feet upon.

"....Hello" Sid akwardly greeted the figure shadowed by the dim lights in the hangar, matching the shine outward of the department. His voice was clear, and procise, but youthful as he spoke out.

In a abrupt fashion the lights cut on, and a whirling figure came dashing at him. The figure was slender, and framed like a beauitful women, but was excluded as it landed kicking Sid off his ramp. Throwing him down upon the cold, stern foundation he rolled along it until coming to a sudden stop before a trash can. Quickly the lime green haired, mouth masked femine humanoid creature dashed toward him. Her feet beat along the surface until she reached into a high jump to smash down upon him.

Manuevering his hand he whirled her back with the power of the Force to guide him. Throwing himself up with a press of his fingers he grappled tightly at his side, but found that his two lightersaber's where somehow manipiulated out of his handle.

Grinding his teeth, he rushed forwadrd quickly, his feet beating across the surface as he reached out for a punch. Swinging firmly toward her face, she went into a backflip, her legs locked onto the arm, and threw him quickly down into the surface head-first. Banging against the surface, he slide along it under the belly of his ship. Rolling his eyes over, in aching pain he could hear his droid continuing to work through the hasty times. Sid's eyes caught attetion to something grappled at the women's waist, and quickly took a smirk on his face. The optimistic smile, expressed with his lips curved back, and his eyes furrowed down into a frown on his eyes.

Dashing upward, he came into a slid between the girl's legs, using the wet, polished floor as a weapon, and moved his hand forward in a smooth fashion. Converting his placement, his hand whirled to the side with the advisement of the Force throwing the two hilts of the Jedi weaponary down upon the ground. Relocating the two tools back toward him, he grappled tightly. Whirling the two at his side, his fingers applied pressure, exserting the two blazing blades from the handle's he stared toward his opponent. One, matching his dark blue navy hair color, meanwhile the other was shining in a crimson orange like the mourning shine.

"What..are you after?" Sid questioned in a stern tone, expressing his offensive ability in the fight, and his momentum.

The women was motionless, and hushed. Her lul movement's could match her social expirence in this matter, and clearly seemed to be the one not to talk with the white, tough fabriced scarf wrapped over her mouth.

"...You are my bounty." The unnamed hunter rose her head in a instants, showing her proud composure. Her lips could be seen curving through the shadow of the scarf mask before she took a dashing pounce forward at the dark blue haired man.

Sid stood immobile, his hands tightened around the circular, vertically shaped handle as his eyes flourished with kindness. A joy spurted over his expression, colliding with the firm, serious tone to one of glee, and happiness. His sleek two folds of flesh curved back slightly, projecting a beam. Applying pressure to his lightsaber's red buttons, the two swelling, heated blades extinguished, retreating back to their handle's. Placing them nicely into their scabbards, he watched as his adversary came down upon him.

Suddenly, she came to a stop, colliding with a firm knee into her stomach. The unbearable pain drove through her body, as a indination of the knee was held in her slender stomach. Falling upon the surface grasping for air, she went into a unconcious, paralyzed state along the ground.

"This....has went out of hand. Huh, D2-RI" He questioned his droid, their bond of freindship strong enough to enable them both to communicate even though their language was much of a difference.

In response, the droid rolled along the surface, his artifical vocal cords forcing out beeps, and other squels of communication. Rolling around the ground, he came before the ramp, and slowly whirled up along it. Locketing himself in the cockpit area for him to maintain himself in the ship, the droid watched in, with his owl like head whirling back and forth, observing the two beings below.

Sid slowly adjusted his hand along his face, brushing neatly his hair back over his ear. Exposing his attractive face, he slowly whirled back his lips into a smirk, as he came to a kneel before the body. Rustling his hand's under the slender, beauitful framed being he placed it nicely in his hands, and walked slowly to the ramp. Placing his feet upon the ramp, leisurely it rolled up to the cockpit where they'd begin their journey. In the modified space of the cockpit, whirling out four seats, he placed the unknown, and unnamed figure in the back.

Placing his fingers along his navigational control, he swiftly wondered his fingers along the controls. Banging his fingers about it like a key board, he was prepared to lift off. Placing his finger upon the navigational door hangar control, it opened gradually for him to blaze out. Locketing into the opening position, he placed on his thrusters with a switch of a button, and maneuvered them to point toward the back. Rushing forward, he blazed through space, placing the ship in hyperdrive.

Sizzling through space, they came to a unanticipated discontinuation before the planet of Coruscant. His eyes glemead upon the planet, eyes raging with the thoughts of what could be happening at that very moment in the atompshere of the planet. Far off, he still was enabled to tightened his iris upon the scene, thinking to himself of what was to come next. Thinking of the possible idea's of getting in, he placed his finger upon the blueprint projection. Rolling them before him, he manuevered his eyes about them, adjusting thought in every one. Concluding the shift, one the one called the Disorder.

"I....got it." Sid stated, placing on his one eared headphone, placing it tihglty upon his forehead, like the old days in the cockpit of a small Jedi Starship. Running his hand along the few key's, he pressured them, placing up armor around Y-Wing, nicknamed "Either." Sheltering his ship was a blue shield that he had built earlier in the night, and was very strong as they had gained resources from Gladitor Battles in the past.

"Time to go in..." Running his hand upon the navigational stick, Sid declared the genesis of their attack. Whirling downward toward the atomsphere, he began eradicate of the missles that burned toward him. His history, and expirence in the fighting realm of a cockpit was large, and was prepared for a battle such as this.

Time dragged inexorably onward, ad infinitum, ad nauseum....

I sighed, waiting. No response yet from the esteemed Admiral. A slight frown wrinkled the scar running down my face, causing the thick tissue there to stretch a little bit and itch. I ignored it, not wanting to remove my helmet to scratch it, even in the apparent safety of my little modified escape pod.

One just never knows....

Another sigh burst from between my lips, which were now pursed to match the frown on my forehead. This was getting to be a touch wee in the "antsy bounter hunter begins to ponder own fate" department. Why was Actar taking so long to respond to my hail? Was he that angered that the target had managed to elude me?

Sheesh buddy, you've been away from Galen for too long. You forgot how good she is, woulda made a helluva bounty hunter with you, which is what I thought you were going to do....

I jerked my thoughts away from that line of travel, my frown deepening as I strove to push away a soft little feeling that was trying to make itself known.

You can think about her like that. She is your wife, you know. You married her.

That apparent non sequiteur was jerked back from with even more vehemence.

Don't even go there, buddy! I scowled to myself, trying to just pass the time or keep my thoughts away from the nasty direction in which they kept wanting to stray. She showed you how she really felt now, didn't she?

I shook my head to myself, turning my gaze to the obnoxiously silent tranceiver, willing it to squawk into life. Reached out to adjust my ETA calculator: sheesh, another ten days to Coruscant at this snail's pace.

C'mon, Actar ol' buddy. Your pal here could use a little help from you... especially since every minute I waste here trying to get to you just leads me farther and farther from the target. And I have had enough with tracking spoor long grown cold.

I sighed for a third time and leaned my helmeted head against the side viewport. There was literally nothing else I could do at the moment.

After recieving the message from his new employee, Sorben Tarnus, Admiral Actar issued orders to have an empty Imperial YT-2400 light stock Corellian frieghter delivered to the coordinates Sorben had given him....

------------------------------------------
The following is not seen through the eyes of Actar, and is replying to another post.

The firepower of the Ion Cannons on the surface, and the TIE Interceptors in the air quickly destroyed the armor around the incoming ship, bringing it to a slow crash slide on the surface. Within seconds of the crash the ship was completely srrounded by Imperial troops, with interceptors and bombers flying overhead.

I was yanked out of a reverie born of utter boredom by a soft but persistent bleep. It caught my attention, stopped... and then repeated its pattern in case I missed it the first time.

I swam to alertness, every nerve I possessed on edge until I realized that it was just the proximity alert that was yammering for attention. I grunted a bit, then a quick flick of my gloved finger and the blasted thing was silent. I then flipped on the viewscreen, scanned a full 360 around the Z-axis.

Nada. Hmmm... now, this was certainly strange.

I tried the Y-axis.

Bingo.

There she lay, the sleekest little YT-2400 I had ever had the luck to lay eyes on. Well, ok, the second YT-2400. I couldn't help but grumble a bit to myself, wondering if Seus would ever take off the lien he held against my old ship. Probably not.

Oh well, that didn't matter at this point in my life. It was hardly likely that I would ever be a part of that guild again. Life now seemed to have suddenly become a tad bit more...complicated than my original one in which I was just a bounty hunter; I couldn't help the sigh which escaped me at the memory.

If it hadn't been for that damned Darth Wicked... and Galen....

I yanked my thoughts from that, sitting up and sending a quick hail to the pretty little 2400 ahead of me. Smiled big behind my helmet, teeth gleaming. Waited.

And waited.

After about five minutes and fifteen more unanswered hails had passed, I grudgingly accepted the fact that: a) that ship was indeed sent for me; and b) there was nobody aboard her.

Now I winced. I hated going EVA; no matter how "empty" space appeared to be, it truly was crammed full of all sorts of minute debris and junk. One never knew when something would come zipping along and nail one, it only took something about the size of a grain of sand to do the job rather efficiently, if not as quickly as the luckless recipient of said particle would have hoped.

I sighed again. Nothing for it. The Admiral had sent me the ship I had requested, but it was up to me to take command of it. No sense in putting it off any longer. I reached out and switched my little pod to manual control, then eased her over to the side of the Corellian freighter. I had to take it easy; we weren't near any of the local suns yet, and I could scarcely make out the dark outline of the ship against the star-splattered blanket of indigo which framed her. But as I inched nearer to her my external lamps finally picked her up; ahhh... how beautiful she looked in their revealing light. Snow white and glistening, like a new snowfield on Hoth.

In moments I had brought the escape pod into kissing distance of the ship, and carefully brought her into a vector parallel with her. There I "halted," appearing to an outside observer to be just sitting directly above her top hull, and just a touch alee. But we were still whipping along at a good clip, oh I'd say about 20,000 klicks per second or so....

I didn't want to think about it. It really didn't matter. We were synchronous to each other, and I had the same momentum my pod did. So all I had to do was simply put my air and jet pack on my back and tootle on down to the upper hatch, open it up (here I found myself praying mightily that the ship hadn't been programmed to my genetic code; kinda hard to touch the hatch with my bare hand in the even more barren cold of deep space....)

All went as I thought. It went quicker as I didn't take my eyes off the hatch for one second. These non-secured crossings from ship to ship always gave me the willies, even though I had had a couple hundred of them under my belt. Usually was way easier to do when trying to sneak aboard a bigger ship and with a pair of mag-boots in case one missed the first hatch....

An absolute soundless sort of thunk vibrated up by legs, telling me that I had made contact with the hull of the Corellian freighter. Moments later, and I was keying in a sequence which had been agreed upon earlier... to my great relief the hatch oiled quietly away, revealing the dark interior of the airlock below. I clambered inside, closing the hatch, then turned my helmeted illuminator this way and that... ahh, there it was. In moments the lock was flooded with atmosphere, and the inner door opened.

Moments beyond that, and I had secured the bridge. There I snagged the pod with the onboard tractor beam....

Nice touch, Admiral!

...and in but a few moments more had slipped off into hyperspace.

My prey -- yes, my PREY -- had eluded me for the last time. This time she wouldn't get away.

OOC: Follow Mr. Tarnus back into Evil Among Us thread in the "Complete SW Universe" forum, thank you.

The Imperial Commander turned from the commlink, narrowing his eyes as he considered the orders just given to him by Actar.

So they wanted this intruder alive, ey?

Sighing, he flipped frequencies, spoke commanding words of his own... and elsewhere, the Squad Leader of Actar's elite Reborn Blackline Wing turned to speak to those under his command.

"Ok, men; we've got a Force-user coming in. He's got some kind of shield about him, but it shouldn't be anything remarkably difficult to disarm. The Admiral wants him alive, so let's get to it. Assault pattern Gamma-delta-rho."

For a moment he stood silently, his chrome-visored helmet eerily reflecting those of the men under him. Then they whirled, and soon gained their highly modified group of highly polished black TIE interceptors. In moments they were airborne, screaming out against the lone ship who had the utter audacity to try to break the heavy blockade Actar had emplaced about Coruscant.

The intruder fought gallantly, ducking and weaving, his ion cannon flashing out and scoring more than one hull as the interceptors came out of nowhere in surround formation. The Squad leader grew black with anger inside the lead craft, reaching out to flip a comm switch and hail the stranger.

"You are entering blockaded space; entry is forbidden. You will stand down from your weapons and allow yourself to be escorted to the surface."

His only answer was another punishing blast of energy as the unknown person let loose another ion cannon blast, wiggling and squirming in the upper atmosphere as he strove to evade them and get down to where he could lose himself in the heavy air traffic the planet still possessed.

The Squad Leader frowned behind his blankly staring visor. "So that's the way you want it, ey buddy?" he said, a wicked little smile coming to his lips. "So be it." A quick command to his squad, and all pilots immediately removed their hands from their own weapons controls, closing their eyes as to a man they reached out with their highly magnified force abilities they, as Reborn, had obtained.

Everything happened smoothly after then.

The protective shield around the strange ship wobbled and canted sideways, welding bolts ripping free as it dropped back from the ship in response to the minds which bombarded it.

It's weapons melted into slag as one hand reached out, guided by the Force, and a well-placed concussion missile blasted the little ships ion weapons into slag. Other minds reached out, joining together in strength, reaching into the little craft, seeking and finding...

...the female.

They grinned, freezing her on the spot, then turning to the pilot and freezing him into immobility as well. Joint tractor beams lashed out, affixing them to the hull of Either and yanking her from independence.

In total synch with each other, the little group headed to a military landing platform, where all dismounted from their craft and stood at attention as their Commander marched into view. That imposing individual waved an order, and troopers marched aboard the Y-Wing. There they took hold of and carried out the still-frozen forms of Sid and his bounty. They brought the Force-user up to the Commander, who reached out and quite casually deprived him of his lightsaber. He then skillfully patted him down both on his clothing and his person, relieving him of various and sundry other weaponry.

He handed these to a lieutenant, who hurried off to Admiral Actar with them. Then he turned back to the Squad leader:

"Take him to Detention cell 14-B-74, and make certain he is put into a Force Cage. No mind tricks or Force games are going to deprive the Admiral of having a talk with this guy."

He made an imperial gesture with one hand, then stepped forth with the precise march of the men. Accompanying them to the detention area, he watched while his orders were placed into effect.

Soon the brash young invader found himself locked within a Force Cage, entirely weaponless, clothed in Imperial prisoner's garb of simple doublet and pants, the woman who was his bounty likewise searched and garbed and imprisoned in another cell within another block.

The Commander smiled a little smile, whistling as he executed a starched about-face, and marched off to report to Actar that his latest order had been flawlessly carried out.

"Hmmm," Admiral Swatzi sat looking at the list of prisoners needing attention. "Jonovar Rathal.....seems we forgot about him. Hmm," He reached for the commlink nearby and spoke into it to the Warden, "Warden, I need information on the prisoner being held in cell H-16-37."

"What about him Admiral? He's been in his cell for quite a while." the Warden replied.

"His ship, what's been done with it?"

"Was scheduled to be scrapped, as far as I know it hasn't happened yet."

Swatzi paused and thought for a moment. He hoped he was making the right choice. "Here's what I want you to do: strip the ship of any weaponry, and have him escorted off the planet. If he goes anywhere but away from here we'll just have to scrap the ship while it's flying and he's in it. "

"I'll arrange it Admiral."

Rathal would miss his blasters, but atleast he had his coat and translator back. It's true what they say about not missing things until they are well... missing. Freedom is one of those things he had never relished in before. He didn't curse at the fact that his ship had been stripped of its wepons and was being forced out. He was just happy to be free. He smiled, letting the word role through his mind, he could do anything he wanted, go anywere. There was no way he was going back to Corucasant on that insane mission. But he atleast owed it to the jedi to tell him. So thats what he would do with his freedom, he would find the jedi and regretfully inform him that he could take the bounty and- he riegned in his thoughts. He was free. The escort relaxed as he distanced himself from the planet, still keeping a wary eye on him. Im looking for a Jedi, where do I go, the ansewer was obvious- Yavin, but that would just wind up with his second capture so... then he remembered, he was supposed to send a transmition to a craft near Yavin to tell him how he was doing. So he was headed towards Yavin anyway, but he had no intention of straying to close to the center of the galaxy, he just needed to find the Jedi's ship and tell him what had happend. If only he could remember the ships name, he forrowed his brow The Graceno not that The Second Coming... no Grace Second- he slapped his forhead as he remembered The second Grace. Smiling he set the co-ordinates and moments later shot off towards destiny.

The youthful man, by the name of Sid waited uncomfortablly for the situation that was sheering through the wind of the slightly opened door, to toture him, knowing he wouldn't be able to reach through his cage. His inability to infocus his mind, and begin his attack in the form of the Force had simply annoyed him. He had trained harshly in the arts of the Jedi, but simply was not declinded of the ability to thorougly use it in a harsh, harmful time.

Signs of pain rolled through his veins, as it had sunk in that he was not the heroic one to unslave the planet from the blockade, and its harshy condition under the Admiral, and not run free without a goverment that had been plattered with such a evil man upon the throne. Tightening his fist, he let out a roaring bellow, reaching his neck gradually to the side. Grasping with the sight of his eyes, he thought confusedly to himself. Where were the two others, had they be relocated, had they been killed? He truly didn't care about the girl, but she was th eonly lead to what was going on, and who wanted to kill him? Along with that, his best machinical friend, known as D1-R2 had simply vaporized in thin air, and reappeared in scraps, or even a cage himself.

"Wha-What is going on?" Sid questioned himself, signifying his inability to answer with a truthful statement, or commment in any form. Infamy beaded down like the sweat upon his face, vaporizing by the little amount of wind that spun through the cracking door. Sid's teeth sunk down, tightening upon each other, screeching within the grasp of his ear. Life had suddenly taken its noise dive into hell...

A burning gate flamed before him, as he mentally reached out for it, the easy way to releave himself from depression, and opression under Admiral's watch. Under that sadastic, evil, ambitionious humanoid creature's observation. The view of the man upon him would be worst then the thought of it, and it could come any moment. He had to get away, but how?

Detention Cell 14-B-74

The lights to the cell were cut, the door opened, light from outside shined like a sun behind the Admiral, who was standing at the door. Upon seeing him, the man in the cage looked as though he was completely filled with pure hatred. Amdiral Actar grinned, and said, "Entering Coruscant without clearance is a severe crime." He raised his arm, and created a fist with his hand, and continued, "You must be punished."

The force cage holding the man begin to grow taller, stopping a few inches taller than the man it held. It's width shrank to a few inches wider than the man, and it's length shrank as well, trapping the man from moving. Any move would cause him to touch the force field which held him, and would thus send a shock through his body.

The Admiral then quickly raised his arm higher, smiling as the force cage was thrown to hit the ceiling. The man cried out in pain. His arm moved left, then right, each time the force cage slammed into the walls. Actar could only imagine the pain the man in the cage was in. After a few minutes of carelessly throwing th cage around, he sat it down, in the middle of the room, and waited to see if the man could speak...

The inch of strenght thrilling through his body came out in two forms at that vrey moment of rest. In speech, and built & display of strenght, to strain the confidence of the man who stood before him. Neither was one that was intellegent, but only filled with pride, a showcase of his enability to be a true Jedi Knight, and to see past of those insolent emotions that could capture one hif stature, and crumble him like ants in the palm of a six foot humanoid orgasim.

His fist tightened, expressing his power, as he manipulated his eyes about, straining them toward the Admiral, as his lips curved back, optimistically smirking, with a occasional twirk of his body, as he attempted to manuever himself. Comfortablly situation himself in a lean, he strained his vocal cords, and excereted the few amount of breathes he could grasp.

"The girl didn't do anything...and the droid either. Let them leave...or you shall die!" He exclaimed, executing a strain of his voice in the process, squeking his tone slightly, but still it was held firm as a soldier in battle.

Falling to his seat, he stared sternly at the adversary, holding the bit of emotion in him, that didn't whitter with the attack...
