Something warm and fuzzy had been tickling at the corners of Shayla's mind, something that didn't seem to belong at all despite its pleasantness. So, still not entirely awake, Shayla stretched out with her Force-senses......and slammed against a wall of Force-essence filled with pheremones. Pheremones? Huh...? That little mystery was enough to jolt Shayla to wakefulness. Her greeny-blue eyes snapped open to reveal the lines of hyperspace... ...hyperspace? Since when had they been going somewhere? Hadn't she and Erik been on some planet...? ...and to reveal a blue-skinned pheremone-oozing Ch'iss standing nearby at her navboard. Shayla leveled a unreadable greeny-blue gaze in his direction, keenly aware that a heck of alot of images in her mind weren't fitting together entirely. How had they gotten here? How had HE gotten here? She was also keenly aware that they weren't alone, and that all the force-presences she felt weren't completely new to her... ...she'd felt them somewhere before. Somewhere recently... ...but WHERE? All the while, her eyes never left Dash, and she shoved any chemistry to the side as her Force-senses throbbed ominously. Nevermind that someone was at the controls of her ship... ...and Erik's... ...but this strangeness had her on edge. Finally she diverted the smallest bit of attention to assess that they were all heading for Sullust, and would arrive in a few standard minutes. Then she turned back to Dash, the unfathomable look returning. The holes in her mind were almost too much to bear... ...especially with Mr. Pheremones here. "Who are you?" she queried, even as her husband began to stir in the co-pilot's seat across the way... -------------------- "Small minds think in small terms!" ~~CMH~~ (I am NOT turning to the Darkside...)

Ruhatt Glanced up and saw a werid person standing there."My names is Ruhatt Luthan and this is my friend Xam. He was hurt some how and I came to help him. We have to get him in a bacta or something." Ruhatt said. He helped Xam to his feet and looked back at the stranger. "Who are you?" -------------------- "Never tell me the odds."

Lanlif's defensive stance slowly faded as he came to his feet. His eyes distant, focusing on the one that had been called Xam. Though a smuggler, he wasn't that bad of a guy to not put his hand in if someone was hurt. Without any immeditate response to the question from the man, he headed over to the injured one. Placing the man over his shoulder, he told his protocal droid to lead them to the closest medic center. Doing so, the small group headed off. Before they entered the household sized medic center Lanlif finally revealed who he was to Ruhatt. "You can call me Captain Berayen for now.." He said, entering the lounging area hastingly. Quickly heading to the desk, he placed the body in Ruhatt's arms as he informed the robotic counter clerk injured man, who needed immeditate treatement. It wasn't far after then that a bundle of medic droids rushed out with their one wheel for transportive force. Taking the body and placing him on the table they headed off toward the bacta tank.. Meanwhile, Lanlif in the other hanged around in the lounging area, waiting for the first word about Xam's health. -------------------- "I hate how life changes all the time.." -Lanlif

A stormcloud exploded in Jasyn's eyes at Dash's words. "Petty? You had a friend in danger, pal, and yet you took your sweet time......and you're doing it again. I'm going in the back to see if by chance Galen is there. If not, when we do hit Sullust... ...I intend to do whatever it takes to figure out exactly where she is." With nothing more than that, Jasyn turned and headed for the back of the frieghter, utterly ignoring anything else spoken in his direction. Jasyn turned to walk away. "Listen here buddy, You stormed into Alexis's room without so much as a knock on the door. Now I don't know how long it takes you to get dressed, but it takes me a few minutes. I did request that you go retrive Jebbua while I got ready. But you couldn't even do that!" My temper flared.Just as I was about to erupt... I realized who else was in the ship with me. None other than Jebbua, Alexis's brother. Jebbua stared at me with a confused look on his face. I gazed back at him awkwardly. Mentally I told him "You knew that Alexis and I were leading into a relationship. Don't go all big brotherish on me right now!" I looked to Jasyn again who was almost at the back of the ship. "I wouldn't bother looking for Galen here. I've already used my force abilities to do a search for her. She is nowhere near us. I'd say she is at least 100 parsecs or more from our curent position, or else I would have sensed her presence. Now if you will come back here and work with me, maybe we can formulate a plan to find Galen" I prepared for the worst. I was sure that I was the last person Jasyn wanted to work with after what I had just said to him. I half expected to see a chair or crate come flying at me from the rear of the ship. -------------------- Those 2 guys may be IDIOTS... but they think the same way I do!

Lost in her muddled thoughts, Shayla stared blankly for the longest time, unsure of why she was so very befuddled, even more uncertain of why they were headed to Sullust with these people and where she had been before. The last place she remembered clearly was the Praxeum......but hadn't she left there, been taken from there... ...or something? And she certainly remembered marrying Erik and having... Her heart skipped a beat, and for another eternity she sat in a cloud of utter confusion. Why were there so many gaping holes in her mind? And what were they going to do now...? Then the only immediate reality dawned on her: this must be her ship, and whether it was or not she was piloting... ...and the hyperspace indicator was getting close to the mark. Shayla snapped to alertness, her piloting affinity taking hold. "Well, boys," Shayla interrupted quietly but not with just a bit of command, "Looks like I'm your pilot for this trip, and I can tell you I haven't any idea why we're all here together either. But this I know, reversion is immenient, and if you don't want to be thrown to the back of the ship, you'd best strap in." With that she turned once more to the navboard and began the steps that would take them safely to Sullust, the back of her mind tingling with the pheremones Kelderon was producing... ...but the majority of her mind still on the pieces of incomplete thoughts within it... Hearing Dash's words, Jasyn turned and stormed back into the cabin of the ship just in time to hear the words Shayla was speaking as well. For a moment, he completely ignored her, shooting Dash a brown-eyed glare. "It has nothing to do with what you asked of me, and every kriffing thing to do with your initial reaction to what was going on."But I'm not arguing with you over this one anymore. There's something much more important at hand, and I've got some ideas of places to start once we reach Sullust's surface. Whether you want to help or not is entirely up to you... ...the fact you are here now suggests that perhaps you care somewhat after all. I'm guessing you must have followed Matt and I after I left you behind." He paused a moment, his eyes locked with Dash. "But, whether you did or not, don't expect me to trust you entirely... ...not yet." That said, Jasyn merely took a seat and strapped himself in, completely ready to get off this blasted ship. Shayla virtually ignored the men behind her as she cruised through Sullustan atmosphere to dock her ship above the surface, her eyes dark and somehow vague as she ran one name through her mind that the others had been referring to.Galen. Who the sam hell was Galen? Terrin Danner's wife, wasn't she? And someone's sister... ..someone important, it seemed like... Dammit, the pieces just aren't fitting... Shayla bit her lip, hard, her hands almost working in autonomously as her mind shifted to another keyword. Sister... Furrowing her brow, Shayla tried for the life of her to remember what this had to do with anything. She had a brother, but not a sister... ...or did she...? But then, how could she remember that for certain, she didn't even know where she'd left her own son. At this, her greeny-blue eyes grew impossibly more vague, something deep within her crying out in utter sorrow. She shoved it to the back of her mind... ...just long enough to finish final docking procedures and get somewhere where she could sort these puzzle pieces out. At last she set the Supernova's engines to cooling, and popped the hatch. Behind her, she could hear rustles as others began to move, and for the longest moment she didn't do a thing to stop them. Then suddenly she turned, shooting that vague and confused look in the other's general direction. "Wait," she said quietly. "Maybe we can work as a team and put the pieces of this puzzle together? My son is out there somewhere... ...and like you can't remember where Galen is, I can't remember where he is either..." Falling silent then, Shayla simply waited to see what anyone might respond. Shayla at first merely arched an eyebrow, trying her best to ignore the obvious pheremones still impacting her body chemistry, trying to prompt her to react. "I'm Shayla, Shayla Stargazer Petrolu-Kartan," she finally answered Dash, then standing and glancing over to Jasyn Lancaster, who seemed to be considering her, clearly not certain as to whether she should be trusted or not. "Look, we all seem to be in the same bantha pile here; you might not trust me but at the very least we can compare notes, because the unavoidable fact we all know is that we have all ended up together in the same sort of condition. Sheesh, you are as bad as Terrin--"Shayla suddenly stopped midsentence, frowning, as that name sparked yet another skewed memory. What had happened to Terrin...? Something had... ...but what...? Jasyn's brown eyes seemed to mirror the same sort of confusion across the way, so Shayla glanced to the side towards her husband. He shook his head minisculely, indicating he hadn't any idea either. After a long moment of awkward silence Shayla finally spoke up. "Can we just get on with this before one of us remembers something else that doesn't fit together, because this is enough to drive me mad..." -------------------- "Small minds think in small terms!" ~~CMH~~ (I am NOT turning to the Darkside...)

With effort, Jasyn forced himself to alertness, the gaping holes in his memory leading him to want a drink of Whyrene's Reserve......or better yet maybe some Walknfall or that other stuff he liked... ...couldn't remember that either... ...really badly. But now was not the time for such things, especially considering that every second meant another wasted. And Stargazer was right about one thing: they all seemed to be in the same boat. Seemed. He frowned for a moment. Terrin was probably rolling over in his grave... ...wherever that was... ...at the fact that his wife had suddenly just been lost... "Allright," Jasyn spoke at last, "You're right." Then, turning to Dash, "And we'll get to what I have in mind very shortly. First, however, we need to get somewhere, so you're just gonna have to trust me on this one and let me take the lead." Jasyn fell silent for a moment, letting these words sink in as he scanned the group. Somewhere in the cabin, Matt Stanza nodded in approval, and everyone else seemed ready to go and figure out the answers to this puzzle. So, with no further ado than that, Jasyn turned, stepped out of the hatch with everyone else behind him, and began leading the way towards a certain secret base where he hoped they would find a beginning, and not yet another dead end... -------------------- "We don't need no stinkin' Jedi!" We followed Jasyn, blindly I might add. I guess I was gonna have to trust him to do what was best for Galen. What was I thinking? Of course he had Galen's best interests in mind. That is why he got mad at me on the Hornett. Because I wasn't reacting quickly enough to the news that Galen had gone out on here own to...Blast it. Another peice of the puzzel missing from my memory. If only one of us could remember where she was headed.I kept pace with Jasyn. I also decided to try and make peace with him as we walked. "Jasyn, I need to talk to you. I know we don't get along too particularly well. But we will have to trust each others judgement if we are to find Galen. I finally realize why you hit me in the hallway of the Hornet. I wasn't reacting quickly enough at a time where every second counted. I am admitting my mistake. And would like a second chance to prove myself. We would make a good team, you and I, if we could show a little more trust in each others instincts and feelings. One day, Jasyn Lancaster, You will trust me! Let today be the day." With that I held out my hand to him. "Let us put our rocky past behind us and start anew. Lets find Galen together, as a team." Jasyn merely froze in his tracks for a moment, turning to regard Dash with an arched eyebrow. As he did so, that little female that had been along with them suddenly excused herself from the group to go home. He frowned a bit at that, then the look simply disappeared, and once more his attention turned completely to Dash, who was still holding out his hand, waiting. "We'll let your actions speak for themselves," he said, his tone almost completely unreadable. Then without waiting for any response, Jasyn merely turned and headed towards his destination once more. In minutes he finally reached the Eagle Enterprises headquarters that he and several of his friends had once called home; not wasting any time he punched in the code that would open the hidden entrance and stepped inside, making sure the door was closed securely behind him. Then, with no explanation to anyone who might have followed, Jasyn proceeded towards Terrin's office which both he and Terrin had set up so long ago, and accessed the secure comm channel immediately, dialing one particular frequency in. As soon as he was connected, Jasyn spoke across the line, hoping that Aaron would reply promptly. "Aaron this is Jasyn," he said. "I can't explain what has happened, nostly because I suddenly don't know exactly what has happened. All that is clear is that I am now on Sullust, and Galen is gone; I can't even recall what planet she was headed for any longer. If you could fill me in on where the kriffing hell she was going, please respond immediately, cause I'm almost certain she crashed somewhere, and with the way my mind is full of holes I have a very bad feeling about all of this..." Lanlif walked out the medic center with the fellow, his eyes shifting back a few times to assure their safety. It was a new place, this planet--he hadn't ever been here, just heard stories from fellow pilots and seen some of the planets natives. He had gotten himself in a sort of a bind, something that he'd have to wiggle out of after this gracious and free food ordeal. Lanlif would never pass up anything free, it was just the Squib way. A day without haggling was bad, but a day without haggling, yet free stuff was great he'd always say. Without anyone else but Ruhatt to talk to since the droids stationed themselves in the medic center, he began with the conversation, which he hoped to be long. "So, Ruhatt, why are you on Sullust?" -------------------- "I hate how life changes all the time.." -Lanlif

Lanlif's eyes closed as he shooked his head and sighed. It hadn't been that long of a time that he was on Coruscant, but of course the government kept tabs on what they leaked out and what they didn't. The blue furred creature frowned in despair, as he began with his response. "No, even though I was on Coruscant about two weeks back standard time. They don't leak out that much information." Lanlif said, his eyes shifting back and forth inside the catina. Seeing nearly every species he had seen before and even some new ones.Sullustians, Dug, Bith, Gran all the exotic skin colors in the rainbow and facial features you could think of. The galaxy hadn't grown any more boring than it was when he was working with Tesk, but it did grow more solemn without him. Lanlif's shivered suddenly, taking his mind off the past and back on the present. Moving his eyes back over to Ruhatt, he turned his lips up into a smile. "Ruhatt, that's your name right. Anyways, why are you interested in the Empire in the first place?" -------------------- "I hate how life changes all the time.." -Lanlif

Jamel looked on his screen again, making sure he had the code for the ship. Entering it in on the small keyboard placed along the side the door. Slowly opening it, he entered, his eyes searching the first chamber, which lead into the cockpit. The place was finely built and seemed to be good catch off the back of the hand, but Jamel knew something was up. Something this good couldn't be left behind without any trace of defense. Heading slowly through the first chabmer of the ship, he headed into yet another. Catching the aroma of food, he quickly dashed forward, reaching for his stun baton to take guard. Quickly stabbing out at the first thing he saw, it came out to be just a Jawa and he missed in the first place. Sighing in relief, he took a seat, still not noticing the other inhabitant of the ship. "Man, wow--didn't expect a Jawa...good thing to. It'll be an easy catch now." Lanlif smiled as Ruhatt asked, his hand waving upward toward the closest droid waiter, asking for two Corellian Ale. Lanlif had grown fond of them over the years, especially on Coruscant. A few too many nights on the town created that attachment though, something he wished didn't happen. Too many bar fights He thought aloud in a murmur, as he looked down, still waiting for the drinks. When they came, he sipped some of his and placed it back down. Smiling at just the taste, he took his eyes back over to Ruhatt, where he began with a response to the question he threw at him. "Well, just looking for a job. Haven't had one since...." Lanlif suddenly paused, his eyes drifting off once again to the numerous people in the catina. "Well, for a long time now." Ending it with that, he placed the cup to his lips and sipped a bit more. Placing it back down as he reached into his back of questions, searching for the best one to dish out. Alexis Entered her house and sat on the bed thinking about her life and what was going on when her stomach growled. It had been a while since she ate. She was going to eat somewhere, but somehow didn't. So she headed of to the nearest Cantina. She walked over to a booth and ordered something and felt a disturbance in the force. She looked over her shoulder a saw a guy aproaching her. Probably to flirt with her. She turned back around and waited for him to come and sit down. "Hello miss and what might a good-looking girl like you be in a place like this?" He asked. Oh brother. Did he think that would work for him? "I'm sorry, but can I help you with something?" She asked him. "Yes, if you don't mind making a few credits or so." He said. The Nerve. Alexis felt the anger rising inside her and grabbed all the power she could and pushed the guy back with the force. He knocked over a watress droid and all the drinks she was carrying fell onto him. Alexis payed for the mess grabbed her food and headed back home. [ 06-12-2003 08:53 PM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by Alexis ]
