That's Right. The 4th of July marks the 231st birthday of America.

So all you Yankees out there.... Have fun today. Drink lot's of beer and play with fireworks!

But... Canada still RULES!!!!

Yeah Canada's independence day was last week right? which is odd because its still technically a constitutional monarchy under the rule of the queen of england

Hey, I forgot to tell you! When we got here they were having a 4th of July celebration for the Americans! It was great: they had a band playing American rock, there were flags all over, they were giving away USA flag pinwheels, and they even had fireworks! Yup, they shot those off out of a barrel on a little pier, right across from our hotel.

It was totally unexpected and way cool.
