From an online SW blog, dated 2018:

"In Rogue One there is an Easter egg while Jynn is looking through the Empire’s plans and she finds “hyperspace tracking” plans that the Empire was working on at the time. That and also the resistance had never seen hyperspace tracking before, including Leia..."

SO there ya have it. The Empire by now has hyperspace tracking. This much at least can be assumed...
