A rebel nation of Sith on the planet of K'eel Doba. The rebellion is centered in what was originally a small hamlet but has now grown far larger (but which is still modest in size.) Fomented by ancient Sith Sorcerer Freedon Naad and organized over the course of two years, the rebellion draws it's support from a number of ideological platforms. The most prominent is a hatred and mistrust for the Three Clan system of the Sith which is seen by the United Sith as a system in which intrenched plutocrats squable constantly amoungst one another at the expense of the well being and sometimes lives of their subordinates. It is also seen as being to rigid, not allowing any flexibility in the lives of a Sith nor allowing any prospect for advancement based on wholly on merit. They also bear a strong hatred of the Dark Jedi. This hatred comes as a result of their temporal displacement several years prior which made their enmity with the Dark Jedi seem very current even though the war between the two (which had been brewing but not reached a state of open conflict when they were pulled foward through time) happened, in reality, a long time ago. Due, in part, to Freedon's manipulations, this hatred of the Dark Jedi has translated into a general Xenophobia. This sentiment, when coupled with their radically egalitarian social views, make them not only very appealing to other common Sith, but also a highly dedicated and zealous force. They are fiercely loyal to Freedon Naad to the point of being almost completely enamoured of him. He has, in the past two years, been very succesful in setting himself up as not just their leader but as the epicenter and focal point of a powerful cult of personality. Nonetheless, Naad is still suspiscious of some of his inner circle. This suspiscion more likely reflects his own decietful motives however rather than being a reflection of any real threat to his power. You see, while Naad would have no problem giving the Sith the reforms he promised them, reform is not his chief concern. All he really wants, all he ever really wanted was power. The United Sith are a means to this end. The United Sith draws its membership primarily from what Marx (had he existed in starwars lol) would have called the Lumpen Proletariate. They are farmers, sharecroppers, manual laborers and tradesmen who have fallen on hard times or have become unable to work for one reason or another. Outcastes, outlaws and political fugitives have also been known to join the ranks of the United Sith. However, because of the location of the village and the fact that its membership generally comes from the lower classes, members of the United Sith are very rarely particularly well educated or skilled individuals (though many are smart and competant, just not formally trained.) Those that are are sometimes disabled or too old to perform the duties they used to perform. Of the United Sith substantial membership (which by now may number upwards of 1,000 sith, but which is certainly less that 1,200) only about 100 of them are formally trained warriors. Of that number only about 70 are neither of advanced age nor disabled. Also only about 20 of them performed any meaningful duties in the warrior clan or were mid to upper level members. The rest tended to be grunts or foot soldiers, trained in the art of combat but lacking any real sophistication. An even smaller number of the population are sorcerers. Naad, who because of his former clan affiliation, prizes and fears sorcerers not just for their magick but for their knowledge and intelect, has kept a close watch on their numbers. At present there are only ten fully trained sorcerers (not counting Naad)in the United Sith. While all of these have completed their training and aprenticeships and are therefore (at least purportedly) fully trained sorcerers, none of them are inveterate practitioners of magick or remotely significant members of the Sorcerer Clan. Indeed, the reason most of them sought out Naad was because of their frustration with their lack of advancment in their own clan. The third Sith Clan, and arguably the most important from a pragmatic standpoint, represents the smallest minority of the population. Like the sorcerers most of the Sith Artificers in the United Sith are fully trained but have become frustrated with the limited role they seemed doomed to play in their Clan. There are, much to Naad's chagrin, only four Sith Weaponer makers have joined the United Sith. Despite the skilled members of the fledgling state's best effort to train the other citizenry in their various skills, aside from the warrior's largely succesfull effort to form, train and organize a militia, these efforts have met with only very limited success. Some of the Weapon Makers, for example, have taught other members of the nation basic engineering skills, but have been unable to impart any of their more complicated and esoteric knowledge (largely because of the limited resources at their disposal). As a result the little nation can maintain itself without falling apart at the seems, but has a very limited capacity for technological growth and development (indeed the village itself is sadly behind the times, being built, with a handful of exceptions, more by the sweat of manual labor than by any form of technological sophistication or use of magick.) The sorcerers, for their part, have taught some people about the lore of Sith magick but have deliberately not taught them how to practically use magick (ie they have taught them the history of the magicks but not how to use them.) They do, however, frequently colaborate with some of the Weaponmakers out of nessecity. Despite the numerous setbacks the United Sith persist. The people lead good comfortable (albeit taxing and filled with hard work) lives, and Naad has high hopes that this modest little commune might be the vehichle by which he realises his ambitions.While he is away on his information gathering mission Freedon has appointed Kaz, a simple farmer and trusted member of Naad's inner circle who previously oversaw the movements food production, to run the vilage in his stead. This appointment was born more out of a faith in Kaz's unambitious attitude, fidelity, and general lack of cunning and political savvy (which Naad percieves as stupidity) than out of any admiration Naad might bear for Kaz.
