A Force cage is a handy-dandy little item developed by the Tavlorean guild of the bounty hunters. All developmental notes have been destroyed save for a master set, which are jealously guarded by the Boss of that elite guild.Essentially a force cage is an enclosure of energy, which prevents any force passage in or out of it. A Force-user trapped within one could not use his talents to implement an escape, and cannot influence those outside of it. Force users on the outside, in turn, can not sense into the cage to determine who or what would be inside of it.
Force cages are enabled and disabled by crystal "keys," whose lattices vibrate harmonically with the energies of the particular force cage they are bonded to. There is only one key per cage.
When not enabled, the force cage looks something like a small, round metallic ball. Its components are transformed into energy upon keying it open; it is the process of translating the matter of the metallic ball into pure energy without creating an immense nuclear explosion each time one is used that is the great secret developed by the Tavlorean guild. Very few citizens of the galaxy have ever seen a force cage, and indeed, few even dream they exist.
