Kraum is a member of the elite clone commando squadron. However, like his genetic template, Jango Fett, he thrives for financial success. Knowing that the Republic is close to losing the war, and that he will never get paid for his efforts, he decides to defect. He finds a small freighter, and uses the legendary piloting skills he got as part of his flash-learning from Jango, to pilot himself into the Outer Rim Territories, hoping to either join or build up a mercenary crew, where he can finally get paid for what he is best at: killing.Kraum is an expert in all weapons, be it projectiles, grenades, or melee weapons like vibro-axes. As his final act of betrayal, he shot his Jedi general in the back, and stole his lightsaber. Unbeknownst to Kraum, he does display a limited Force potential, an anomaly in an otherwise perfect race of clones. This small defect is the basis for his change in heart about the Republic. Another "victim" of the Sith.
