Though he wasn't a sciencitifical genuis, and had no like for science he went on a field trip for grades, along with a few others to Rori. When on the trip they were attacked by Imperial fighters which had recently taken over the galaxies government once more, but since the academy was a private company had no influence by the control. Yet they were attacked because the ship was considered a threat. The ship fell to the Rori atomsphere, prepared to explode. As an emergacy all the students evacuated in small pods that would deliver as a safety landing. Coming slowly to the ground of Rori, the students were all grouped, prepared to evacuate to the hands of their teachers.

Finding that they're teachers were killed by the crash of the ship, they all ventured out alone to find a way to get off the planet, but Landis had other ideas on his mind.

He wanted to get off of course, but he didn't want to go back to the adoption agency. During the flight when searching on the datapad, he had managed to hack into the system as one of his friends helped him, a technological genuis no less as aid, and found his documents. Finding that his parents were still alive, he wants to find them so he can be reunited with them.

Landis was prepared for the task of lonliness in space, as he was always an indepedent kid. Without a last name he knew he would have trouble so he created one, naming himself Landis J'hrea.

Finding a ship, he illegially invaded it, and over-rided the system's identification ability. Registering his name into the system he went off of the planet and ever since he's been on a path to searching for his parents. Which he believes are still alive..
