DATOR is an advanced humanoid droid, he is a walking encyclopedia, and a strategic genius... he has the knowledge of yoda(pure logic) but lacks human qualities, such as emotions, and the strive to stay 'alive'...He does not resemble a droid... although he has the strength of 10 men, he looks like a human, but has silver skin, black hair, and yellow eyes...
He is still learning to adapt as a 'human'...

They were left, and forgotten on a junk yard of a planet...
These genius droids put together an army, and a flagship, and are now... out for revenge... beating up on freighters, and assimilating the humanoids into droids(implanting chip in brain), on their trek threw the galaxy... if he can't be human, no one will...
