Al'iya is Shayla Stargazer Petrolu's blood hunt companion. While on the planet of Korriban, Al'iya sensed Shayla's strength and telepathically met with her mind. Shayla answered the challenge by seeking the t'ukata out and allowing her to attack. After Shayla was able to jump on the animal's back and stay there for some length of time, she responded to Shayla's mental thoughts to her and yielded.

Al'iya will accompany Shayla and her companions as they continue their quest to find Graysith's daughter and rebirth the Sith civilization.

She is the typical tu'kata with 10 inch claws and fangs, and her fur is a very deep brown.
