In Hells Flame
D. Yerger

In Hells Flame, In Hells Flame:
All those twisted souls tried to gain!
In Hells Flame, In Hells Flame:
They sold and stole and killed with no shame!

In the light he spoke his mind,
And the lord cast him down for his crime.
In Hells Flame, In Hells Flame:
There he cried, the devils breath.
In Hells Flame, In Hells Flame:
Stealing souls down further than death!

He passed through that calm place,
Of serene nothingness with little grace.
Then at a rapid pace he ran past the river Acheron,
And passed Limbo that dismal place!
Then suddenly the tempest the storm,
Upon which the lustful are borne,
Whips him down to a deeper place,
Yet again with no kindness or grace.

The Hells Flame, The Hells Flame.

Then the plague, the rot, and the despair,
Just a small stop upon the abyssal stair.

Down he came, down he came.

Then he sees the greed, the lust, the pride,
Of all the wealthy fools that died.
He is greeted by that filthy hound,
Plutus who’s howl makes no sound.

To Hell He Came, To Hell He Came.

Then he sees the famed boatman,
Who holds his domain upon the River.
He seeks his coins but asks for naught,
Of this foolish beast that hell wrought.

To Hell He Comes, To Hell He Comes.

Then before him stands the three,
Their steel-wrought city full of the free.
But not the free are they,
For heretics burn in coffins of clay.

In Hell He Be, In Hell He be.

And now he sees the lethal trees,
That slay ev’ry man, bird, and bee.
He sees the minotaur who stands tall and proud,
The sound of his victims wails and cries loud.

In Hell He Rests, In Hell He Rests.

And the screams of those thieves,
The succubus the hypocrites the fools now on their knees.
They meet his ears and rend his flesh,
As he watches their bodies rent to a fine mesh.
Those serpents and demons as they be,
Their victims pleading only to be free.

In Hell He Lives, In Hell He Lives.

And now it is that in his domain,
All he can do is cause chilling pain.
He strikes every heart with fear,
Lest you feel the burning sear,
Of his great flaming domain,
The devil he is, The devil he be,
And all he sees is hell, the key,
Of mortal damnation and of mortal pride,
A place for the greatest sinning fools who died.

So now they burn, they wail, they Lament.
And it is all for:
The Hells Flame, The Hells Flame.
