1. Read the rules.
2. Read the character descriptions.
3. Read the story synopsis -- which needs to be updated yet again with the introduction of Veren and his nemesis, and Uhlen and his nemesis, into the universe.
4. Either begin your own thread and wait for other characters to get there and respond to you -- this is all "realtime" in that forums are concurrent with each other, so other characters are all over the universe at the moment -- or just join into an existing one. I'd read the thread you wish to join for certain before doing this.
