OK, folks, here it is! The biggie news! On Christmas Day, much of the United States will be treated to a partial eclipse. Here is a map showing the places and times and degree of totality. DO NOT attempt to look at this without a good solar filter. Take a piece of paper, cut a pinhole, hold it up about ten inches or so from another piece of paper, and observe it that way. What you CAN see with the naked eye will be a definate darkening, and possible swirling of snow as little local breeze spring up from the resulting temperature drop. But don't forget!
