Utterly beautiful and deceptively innocent in appearance, the Nar Kelba appears to be nothing more than a faceted, deep ruby-red gemstone approximately twenty-five centimeters round. Never judge a book by its cover: this gemstone is a device created by the Armorers of the Sith under the direction of Dark Lord Roan, in the years when the Dark Jedi were attacking their worlds.Heavily endowed with Sith magicks, when placed within a weapon it turns it into one not only capable of simply killing, but of stealing away the soul of the victim, said soul departing to parts unknown. Thus in the case of Jedi, against whom this device was intended, they could not upon their deaths return to the Force, and join ghostly forces there to commune with each other or with the living.
After stealing the Nar Kelba and being chased incessantly by Dark Lord Roan (returned to "now" from the past) and his then consort, Graysith, Galen JhinDar Danner appropriated a TIE fighter from Captain Yaoksi Joao, placed the Nar Kelba within it, and sent the ship on autopilot into the heart of a nearby star.
It was thought at the time to be the one and only Nar Kelba to exist.
