Description: Originally commissioned as one of many IG-100 MagnaGuard series droids during the Clone Wars Bes’in has undergone extensive modifications and upgrades since his initial activation, the only remaining component to his original body is his CPM (Central Processing Matrix). If he were stripped down to his super structure his configuration would resemble an IG-100 series. His superstructure is composed of Mandalorian Iron and protected by a metal skin of similar composition. Furthermore he is covered with armor plates composed of an alloy of Mandalorian Iron, Cortosis, and Phrik; arranged in a configuration that gives him the appearance of a human in Mandalorian Armor. Bes’in has no internal weapons built into his superstructure instead using what he can find or acquire.

Bio: Bes’in started his life in a droid factory on Muunilinst as one of many IG-100 droids built to fight the Jedi during the clone wars for the Separatists. Like all IG-100’s he had a capacity to learn but unlike them his CPM had a defect that also allowed him to disobey orders or improvise outside his programming. Set with a batch of other IG-100s to the Mandalorians to learn from them it was there the Mandalorians noticed his ability to disobey orders and improvise beyond what other droids were capable of doing. Choosing keep him instead of sending the droid back for repairs they returned the rest of the batch to the Separatists. For the remainder of the war he fought alongside the Mandalorians against the Republic and came to appreciate their ways, and in turn they noticed how he began to act more and more like a Mandalorian and started to call him Bes’atin (Stubborn Droid)

Near the end of the Clone Wars Bes’in was part of an operation to attack Kamino, with the goal of cutting of the troop supply for the Republic. Though the mission was a failure overall he found one clone that stood out, a young human girl, who he took her away from Kamino to Mandalore. There he found a haven for Republic clone deserters among clan Skirata and brought the young girl there. The Skirata clan was wary of accepting a droid into their enclave, especially one who had killed many clones during the war, but reluctantly agreed for the girl’s sake. Bes’in named the girl Aliik’ra and raised her as his sister; in time the Skirata clan came to accept the droid and the girl alike and adopted both into their clan. Because of this the Mandalorians who no longer consider him a droid, but an equal member of their society.

Currently Bes’in is the chieftain of the Skirata clan, representing them before Mandalore. He works change Mandalorian society from their mercenary culture to one that puts Mandalore first, and spending time with his adopted children’s families helping to raise them in the Mandalorian tradition.
