Model: Tor – Heavy Assault Frigate Manufacturer: Cuy’val Dar Paladins, Mandalore Crew Compliment: (1) minimum, (8) Maximum Armament: Twin heavy laser canons forward mounted, twin concussion missile launchers w/ (6) concussion missiles each, Mandalorian Iron platted hull, class .75 hyperdrive, Turret mounted tractor beam. History: The Tor-class of vessels was an attempt by MandalMotors to capitalize on the bounty hunting business. Designed to be able to quickly fight its way into a heavily armed situation secure a target and quickly exit the Tor-class can take an incredible amount of punishment and while it doesn’t have the top end speed favored by smugglers it can out maneuver most ships including starfighters. It’s down fall was its rather large price tag which lead to it being dropped by MandalMotors during the testing phase. The Skirata clan purchased the designs from MandalMotors and adapted the craft into a heavy assault frigate, designed to punch through the defenses of a capital ship of military installation, insert a team of 6 commando’s, then provide close fire support as needed. These vessels contain a very modest workspace behind the cockpit with a combined galley, med bay, and sleeping quarters. While able to handle a crew complement of 8 for long reconnaissance any more than 4 is not advisable. |
