Ok, as some of you might already be aware, scientists have FINALLY come up with "THE DEFINITION" of what differentiates a planet from other dark and cold bodies that orbit stars. As a direct result, our solar system no longer has nine planets, but eight... with various and sundry "dwarf planets," of which the recently demoted Pluto is now a member.

There was a memorization device by which the (former) nine planets could be learned; personally I can't recall it but it has something to do with "my mother" and a "pizza" (the words "my" and "mother" standing for Mercury and Mars, and "pizza" of course for Pluto).

LET'S COME UP WITH A NEW ONE NOW!!! The eight planets in order outward from the sun are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

GO FOR IT!!

Nah, he's way out there in his goofy orbit, doing the celestial happy dance with his partner Charon...

Gray, remember the point of these phrases is to REMEMBER them. I don't think I could remember your first one to save my life!

Thaks Gs, but i can't really take too much credit for it - I just took the one word I could never remember off the mnemonic I learned in grade school - its much easier to remember this way...
