Eridan, Steward of Gondor

The current Ruling Steward of Gondor, Eridan has ruled for over thirty years. However, it seems the Steward has fallen under a maddening depression. His wife has died, and his only son did not survive the winter of the year he was born. The only heir Eridan has of the Stewards of Gondor is his nephew, whom many believe is inept for such a position.

Most of the day, Eridan keeps himself locked in his throne room, even without the watchful eye of his guards. Many of his servants have heard the man pacing back and forth, muttering and whispering to himself. There were nights were screams and yells filled the room, and it has only be recently observed that Eridan directed these shouts towards an empty window...

He has grown out of touch of the world, and seems to care little about the affairs of other races, even his own people.
