The Axis, a timeless force drawn forth by the ancient Sith to give life to the Finger of R’lous, is now awake. It waited for countless years for the right person, granting its power to many and consuming them without mercy. It lives within the Finger, allowing its power to flow into the bearer, and it feeds upon that person’s life energies. It knows that someday it will encounter a host strong enough for it to form a strong symbiotic relationship, and it hopes it has now found it in Graysith, for it knows its purpose and is eager to fulfill it.

The Axis is T’elion de R’Lous, a spirit that in Sith mythology is the servant of the gods. He was sent down to do various tasks that the gods deemed important enough to be performed, yet not so important that direct involvement was necessary.
T’elion has whatever powers were granted to him at the time of his calling, and in this case he was given strong persuasive telepathy and a means of bonding with a person to the point of dependency. He then can drawn the life from the host and place that power within the Finger of R’lous. His final purpose is not clear, but he apparently is trying to find a person powerful enough to bond with him and establish equilibrium between the All and Sith Magick within the Finger.
T’elion will remain within the Finger until his final purpose is fulfilled. He was placed there centuries ago by unknown powers. T’elion himself knows only his purpose, not the origins.
