But there were those that did not agree with this peace treaty. Pallaeon sat back with a watchful eye, occasionally taking action against warlords and others, and even once assisting the New Republic with the Yuuzhan Vong. A group of Moffs, lead by Moff Krenoff, even made an assasination attempt.

Due to the skills of Shayla Stargazer Petrolu and her company Stargazer Corporation, that attempt never took place. Through the information Shayla provided, Pallaeon discovered the existence of four Eclipse-class Star Destroyers that Eagle Enterprises had created for Krenoff to use as part of his grand scheme to overthrow the Admiral.

Pallaeon sought out the owners of Eagle Enterprises, inquiring about the ships which, by all appearances, had simply disappeared or never been created.

Pallaeon found the ships and later took them for himself, not only fortifying his fleet and updating his flagship but also making a strong ally with the near-bankrupt Eagle Enterprises. Impressed by the honor and courage of the owners of the company, Pallaeon saw to it that they were paid in full for the ships, landing the company over 16-million credits.

All the while Pallaeon continued to keep a quiet and thoughtful eye on the possible unrest among the Imperials. Though he was aware of a secret base where some disloyal Moffs and military men were plotting to revive the Empire, he was unaware as to its location, so he awaited an obvious opportunity to strike and make it known to the galaxy that not all Imperials wanted to destroy the peace he'd once established.
