Sorben Tarnus is a bounty hunter who hails originally from the world of Corellia. It has been said that Corellians have rocket fuel for blood, and will risk everything for a cause they believe in. Originally a son of a Farm Town worker, Sorben soon found life on a Corellian farm too tame for the wildness in his heart, and at the age of 15 took off to seek his way in the neon city of Coronet.There he ran into a mysterious, Mandalorian-clad man, who managed to save his life from an angered Selonian (visiting from that nearby world) who in turn was trying to retrieve his youngling the young and then-inexperienced Sorben was trying to sell off as a pet in the Treasure Ship Yards. Rescued from the otterish but skillful fighter, young Sorben was taken under the wing of his mysterious benefactor, and soon learned the ways of the bounty hunter. He took to this life like a dianoga takes to water; soon escalating in skill and cunning beyond that of his new Teacher. When that esteemed person was killed by a feral bantha as they roamed through the deserted bases on Talasea, seeking clues to a target they were chasing, Sorben took the Mandalorian armor worn by his mentor and began wearing it himself.
He then approached the Guild World of the bounty hunters, and had soon ingratiated himself into the Tavlorean clan, that elite House of Bounty Hunters run by an individual named Seus. He rose in ranks, becoming the top-dog bounty hunter in that top-dog house; for years he lived comfortably, handling the most difficult of jobs and becoming almost as well-known throughout the galaxy as the former Boba Fett.
Many of his missions involved dealings with various dark jedi still hidden about; on one such a mission, that to seek the jedi-soul-killing "Nar Kelba," he ran afoul of a dark jedi named Darth Wicked. While his very ship was being tractored into the Dark Lord's giant SSD, he was unexpectedly rescued by Galen Jhin'Dar, who swooped in to the rescue -- surprisingly enough -- in a ship of the ancient race of the Sith. He then underwent various adventures with her, falling in love with her, and impregnating her with their future daughter, JhinDarra (see descriptions). But, fearful for Sorben's life, Galen left him before they could marry.
Sorben spent the following year in the company of his Verpine buddy, K'kihl; then left the Verpine as he did the Guild, all to seek out his love. His adventures on this board begin in the "Great Specter of Khym Magroo" thread in Complete SW Universe forum, and continue in "Stranger Than Fiction" (brief re-introduction), and then go on in "The Rise of Memories," both in the CSWU forum.
Sorben wears his dark hair nearly clean-shaven. He stands about 6" tall, is of stocky and muscular build, and has icy blue eyes. A scar from the attempt to save his mentor from the bantha attack runs down his face from brow to jaw, giving him a roguish look. Extremely well-versed in hand-to-hand combat, weaponry, and piloting skills, he has the uncanny knack of making himself completely scarce from his enemies... then attacking from completely unexpected directions. His only weakness is his love for Galen Jhin'Dar, the only one who has managed to break through his otherwise icy and extremely professional facade. He is 37 years old.
