Phrinnchatka is the capital city on the Sith planet, K'eel Doba. It represents a splendid example of the artful congruence of the new and the old: it's streets are cobblestoned, the majority of its buildings and dwellings are likewise made of stone, and the city is dotted with parks and grassy lawns, some left to run wild. Elaborately carved stone benches are scattered artfully about, inviting the traveller to rest. Though the buildings are stone, their doors, often double, are gleaming greelwood, richly carved, and quite often inlaid with rare woods and semi-precious stones. Statues abound; the Sith, being inherently magickal, reveled in a close relationship with nature, and they extended this love into mimicking it in statuary and topiary. Existing amidst this simplicity is an unfathomable technology rooted in the inherent magicks of the Sith, one able to create such glorious objects as the infamous Sith fighters, the Crystal Octahedron, the Claw of S'slan and the Revealer in the Great Library of the Sith, also in Phrinnchatka (see descriptions). It's spoked streets are dotted with strange machines and devices which assist in keeping the city running; if the reader has ever seen the old classic sci-fi movie, "Forbidden Planet," recall the awesome and mysterious Krell machines, and you'll get an idea of what this aspect of Phrinnchatka is like. There is a great, circular "drive" which surrounds the city in its entirety, and from this circle straight-line streets "spoke" in toward a central hub. Within that hub is the Great Temple of the Warrior Clan (see descriptions). Several kilometers away from the city is its spaceport, Ch'arlingua. It is reached mainly through a tunnel transport system, something like an underground. The spaceport currently is holding many OLD ships from earlier space-faring races, as the Sith have been brought forth from history into the present time. Approximately fifty kilometers away to the north, nestled in a low mountain range, is the Temple of S'slan. Although being at this distance from the city proper, it is considered by the populace to be a part of it, being placed that far away due to their deep respect and fear of that terrible warrior god. Every fifteen years, the Sith conduct a frenzied *Blood-Hunt to S'slan, sacrificing to him in a month-long celebration that includes much debauchery and wanton killing. *Please note the similarity to Blood Hunt Ritual is in title only. The Blood Hunt Ritual is when Sith warriors would be taken to either Korris'ian or Korriban, there to hopefully become bonded with a tuk'ata. It did not often occur; see "Blood Hunt Ritual" in this forum. [ March 20, 2006 12:54 PM: Message edited 1 time, lastly by Graysith ] |
