...when a plan comes together?Ok, so it wasn't planned out. Can't be, that's not role play. BUT it just so happens that things are coalescing nicely -- AFTER MANY REALTIME YEARS -- so for reader edification, here 'tis: Way back in Sith history, WAY BEFORE Aelvedaar's time, a Sith magician by the name of Trelanicus discovered the All. He couldn't use it, so he made the Finger of R'lous to manipulate the All, enabling himself to use it after all. HE HAD TO HAVE A DEVICE. But then he realized what a horror it could be, how it could be easily misused... and pulled away from it, turning 180 degrees and starting a movement to NOT ever use it, and in the end creating the Eyes of R'lous to use AGAINST it. The triumvirate at the time, greedy so's-and-so's that they were, hunted him down and killed him. His cult spread to the four corners of the galaxy, spreading their secrets thin, that no one would ever use this power. Generations later, the Sith Dark Lord of the Sorcerers figured out the natural way to reach and use the All, and became proficient at it... but not in time to prevent the Sith slaughter at the hands of the Dark jedi. He only managed to use it to reach out through space and time to find THE ONE, who ended up being Jharmeen JhinDar, who ended up being the pivot around which the Sith were returned to the galaxy (which we know). One more thing to consider... we all know how That Which Is doesn't like things going against the Natural Order, and doesn't like devices that aid one in doing so. Thus the reason it destroyed the Claw of S'slan on Gray's finger... PG, please add to this for clarification... Trelanicus made a lot of devices, each one an improvement on the last and named after his god, R’Lous. By the time he made the Finger of R’lous, he had not only managed to harness the All but had figured out how to enhance Sith magick with it. This was the final straw that made him realize how dangerous the All could be.He convinced his followers, who were mages and theological scientists like him, of this as well. They made a sect, a cult of sorts, that would destroy the previously created All devices and make the secret of the All disappear forever. While the sect was stealing the All devices, Trelanicus created the Eyes of R’lous, which had the power to drain All energy that had been harnessed by someone or something, and disperse it (or, as Phalomir discovered, use it for another purpose). The sect used the two Eyes to destroy the devices. Trelanicus was betrayed, however, by one his own and the Sith lords found his secret home on one of the far abandoned colonies. The clan secured themselves deep inside a cave as the Sith warriors attacked. This is the point where Phalomir believes someone sent his consciousness into one of the Eyes, along with Thoran. How he got there, and why, he still does not know. Several thousand years later, Panthar Dantares discovered this cave and touched the Eye, and suddenly found himself to be the host of a very confused Phalomir and very crazy Thoran... Anyway, one Eye is destroyed. The other… who knows? The power of the destroyed one was used to keep Graysith alive when she was having issues with the beast. Hey, Phal has his priorities!
