Telcontar

Luckily for him, Telcontar was a patient man. He had already waited for five hours waiting for his target to come out of meeting, and he still had not done so. He sighed and slumped down, leaning against the huge tree whose large branch he was sitting on, but never taking his eyes off the door. He was on the forest-covered planet of Kashyyk, home of the Wookies, who not too recently had driven out most of the Trandoshan slavers that occupied the area. Several leaders had risen up out of the Wookie tribes, and one of them was Telcontar’s target. He secretly sympathized with the Wookies, but kept telling himself that the Trandoshan’s were paying him well. They had rationalized that if they cut off the head, the rest of the body would fall. Telcontar laughed to himself silently. Even after all these years of trying to enslave the Wookies, they still didn’t know what the Wookies were capable of once angered.

Telcontar sat straight up. The door had opened, and two Wookies armed with bowcasters now stood in front of the door. A smaller wookie, unarmed, slowly began to walk out, and Telcontar recognized him as his target. Slowly, he raised his DX7 rifle to his eye, and aimed for his ear.

The blast was just loud enough for several birds to leave the tree they were nesting in, and also to grab the attention of the Wookie’s bodyguards. Almost immediately several green bolts showered the tree that Telcontar was now hiding behind. He looked to the right, and spotted his chance as the firing subsided. Telcontar silently dropped out of the tree, and began to run to the north. His ship was parked only a few miles away, and he was hoping to get to it without attracting any more attention to himself. Unfortunately, Telcontar didn’t fully understand how much security had surrounded the place…he didn’t need to know, because they weren’t even supposed to know that he was there.

Telcontar slowed down and stopped, breathing heavily. As he wondered how much farther it would be, several Wookies took up position in the trees behind him. One particular Wookie, caught up in the fervor of battle, gave a loud roar. Telcontar, hearing the roar, barely escaped two green bolts aimed at him, and he quickly climbed a tree, seeking shelter in yet another branch. He flipped open an armor plate on his left forearm, and pressed a red button. About two miles away, his ship, Shadow, jumped to life, and quickly began flying his way.

Meanwhile, Telcontar realized his mistake. Shadow would come to rest right next to the trees, and as soon as he left his cover, he’d be shot. Carefully, Telcontar looked out from behind tree, and immediately Wookies began firing. Only one bolt hit the tree, and Telcontar estimated that only one Wookie was close enough to be accurate. Telcontar let out a deep breath. His next move would be a risky one, but he had no choice. Slowly, Telcontar stuck his right hand out. He raised his right hand toward the large tree where the Wookie was hiding and quietly said, “launch”. With a ‘pop’, two arrow-like spears shot out of his right wrist, attached to his hand by titanium cords. In no time they shot through the tree, and Taehun commanded ‘lock’. The three barbs on each arrow spread out, and the cords retracted, effectively locking the arrows into the tree. Again, Taehun let out a deep breath…“retract”. Taehun now went flying as the cord began to pull itself back into Taehun’s armor. He slowly turned his body so that his feet was facing the surprised Wookie, and deftly maneuvered his body so that when his body crashed into the Wookie’s, his legs would be locked around the great warrior’s neck. Taehun commanded, “unlock” right as he hit the Wookie, and they both crashed into the grass below. Immediately upon landing, Telcontar twisted his hips violently, and the Wookie’s neck broke with a sickening ‘snap’.

The other Wookies began firing, but they were just out of range. Taehun looked up to see Shadow hovering over him. He quickly jumped into the open cockpit and took off, leaving Kashyyk behind. “So much for being indiscreet,” he thought. As soon as he left Kashyyk, Telcontar hit the hyperdrive generator, heading into the unknown, looking for a new job.

On Kashyyk

Jamel had been asked frequently through his telehologramic system by Wookies with the translation buttons on, enabling him to understand the words that had emitted from the mouth of the being. Jamel's fingers bended around the control stick structure, slender like a Jedi's lightsaber hilt, but easily motionable. Jamel's ship swung down through the ground, heading gradually downward toward the surface. The Old Republic Jedi Starfighter came to a slow, and steady landing upon the wooden landing base. Pushing open the glass window that concealed him from the crashes or any troublings outward from his ship. Grappling upon the edge of the slender uprising of the metalic outer figure that slipped downward into a wing. Sliding down he came to an abrupt stop on the ground, and grabed his translation device. Placing a small ring along his neck, and two small devices within his earlobs to allow him to hear them in his own language, he prepared to aboard the community of Wookies that had frequently questioned him to land upon their sight. Heading about the tree-house like formated grounds, he came to a stop before a sheltering of the place he would find the Wookies.

Heading in, a quick conversation came to be. The motionings of the mouths, and the large roars came from the shelter, as did many bangs of the fist on tables. This conversation's main subject was a person named Telcontar, who had seemed to troubled these Wookies. Jamel files was placed within the Bounty Hunting Guild Files that some of the Wookies had been able to hack into. Searching through, they found that his recored seemed to be on a high-amount, and could do some damage, even though his age could come to a factor, it also could come to as an advatange.

"I'll take it" was all Jamel stated in the end, his vocal cords coming out in a scretch and roaring pitch, and headed slowly out the door, heading toward his Jedi Starfighter, stationed within the treehouse-like sheltering from the ground. Leaping in, he placed the coordinates to the heavens and beyond. In a simple second, he was back into the stars, hiding amoungst them as he was on thew trail of another man..
